About me.

"Traveling - it leaves you speechless then turns you into a storyteller." ~ Ibn Battuta

As early as i remember, i loved exploring.  As i got older and got (access to) cars, boats, motorbikes, big trucks, and airplanes, my list of stories grew.  The horizon still beckons.

In 2010, after a decade teaching in Virginia inner-city schools , i was (literally) beat-up and burned out.  i wandered a year, ending up in LA where sunshine and obscene wealth on TV veil the dark reality of poverty and desperation.  Though working for one of the richest families in the world, i was never more than a few hundred dollars from homelessness.

Call it God, the Cosmos, or Karma, but fate smiled on me and suddenly people kept asking me to drive Moving Trucks for them.  After all the stories i heard growing up about shyster MOVERS, i knew with the integrity my parents instilled in me i could make it in this industry.  It's hard work, and humbling coming from a field most everyone respects...

but i'm happy making my own way.  Is anything better than that?
